im engaged!
as of 1 week ago, josh and i officially have to start looking for ways to save money and still have a bomb.com wedding. for all who are extremely interested in the exact way that Josh asked me... read on!
10:00 am josh and i get in the car to drive to (surprise) ventura to catch a boat to santa cruz island
12:00 pm josh and i are on the boat. i am convinced his dad has planned out this whole thing, and therefore, it is not where we will be getting engaged
1:00 we are on the island hiking to potato point to meet the parentals
1:23 josh tells me he lied
1:24 josh pulls out a notebook where he has recorded all of his engagement plans for me, he begins to read out of the book why he thinks we should be married
1:25 he is on one knee with a pretty box. i love boxes
1:26 the ring is on my finger
1:27 PG13 things start happening
1:45 we reach another lookout point and josh explains that the ring is his great grandmothers that his grandma wanted to give to me
2:00 josh convinces me my dad won't be able to come to dinner because he is in Norway, but we will still have dinner with his fam
3:00 we see an island fox. i take pictures
3:15 we see another island fox. no chance for pictures
3:27 we see another island fox. josh and i have our first fight as an engaged couple over who gets to take the pictures. i win.
4:30 board the boat to go back
6:00 arrive back to harbor, ring is very shiny
6:45 change into dinner clothes for fancy dinner with josh's fam. we found a nice catholic church and used them for their bathrooms
7:30 enter restaurant
7:32 begin crying because both my family and his family are there to have dinner with us
10:30 say goodbye to Pritchett family
11:30 arrive back home, ring still very sparkley
11:31 get bombarded by nine girls all asking for a story and a chance to look at the ring in exchange for some champagne.
1:00 sleep. best day ever
